October 31, 2013 by Minuteman Trucks

Winter is right around the corner in our neck of the woods, so we thought it would be helpful to share these tips to keep everyone safe on the road! These tips are brought to you by Idealease.

  1. Make sure that your tires are prepared for winter driving. Tires are the most important aspect of keeping your vehicle under control in snow & ice conditions.
  2. Lights On. Turn on your lights to increase your visibility to other motorists.
  3. No Cruise Control. Don’t use cruise control on snowy or icy roads.
  4. Be especially careful on bridges, overpasses and infrequently traveled roads, which will freeze first. Even at temperatures above freezing, if the conditions are wet, you might encounter ice in shady areas or on exposed roadways like bridges.
